The V8 and V6 engines for the current Camaro have been built in the GM plant that I work at. Apparently our new Gen V truck V8 line is being reworked to accomodate the changes for building the 2016 Camaro LT1 V8 here. I was told the new Camaro V6 will be built elsewhere. They will have a 2016 Camaro unveil for Canada at the annual car show in St. Catharines Ontario on August 7. www.gmshowandshine.ca There is also an open house for the plant this year.

I kind of want one, mainly because it's an LT1 F-bodyish vehicle, some thing about it feels right. I hope Borla remakes the plate exhaust and C4 ZR1 wheels fit I doubt both.

Mine's a 1LE! Not sure if I will get rid of it and trade up or just get a new one outright. Chevy always waits a year or 2 to release a new model. The longer they wait the closer mine will be to being paid off. I lucked out on mine in picking the rarest color of the rarest model. It's 1 of 92 in crystal red and it has hardly any miles on it (3300 or so). Mot likely I won't get shit on a trade so I'll be inclined to just keep it. The "sold" part was basically that I like everything about the new one. They tweaked the styling a bit to distinguish it without ruining anything. They upped the power big time, and they redesigned the interior big time. It lost 200lbs along the way. Win, win, win, win.

You'd be surprised how many people confuse it for a ZL-1. Every time I take it to a show or a cruise or cars/coffee event, guys will come up to me and have no idea what a 1LE is. There are Chevy dealers that still don't know what a 1LE is, believe it or not.

It would be great to trade it in at a dealer and have them think it's a ZL-1 and give me $48k for it, lol. I wish!
