Custom grind! Don't be a noob!
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkArctic White 1996 Z28. Stock internal LT1, CAI, LM1, MGW Shifter, 3.73's, some suspension junk, and shiny salad shooters (retired). Forgestar F14's 18x10 on all 4. Fun stuff coming soon. Also, Cali smog regulations suck...period. **Insert witty quote here** LT1FTW that is all. Have a nice day.

If you're still on the fence on this one, I'll give you what I've learned. S60 is you intend to autoX, hammer corners, and occasionally drag race. 9" if you're going full on mental drag car. The 9" is heavier, and saps a bit more power, but will take massive amounts of abuse. The S60 is very tough, but not quite as tough as the 9". But, it's lighter.
That said, I put the S60 through massive abuse on slicks, and it held up great fro a long time, and a lot of nitrous. I ran a 9" with a spool afterwards. I could definitely tell the difference in weight, but I could stand that car on the bumper and not worry about the rear end breaking.

AFAIK an S60 is essentially bullet proof, and virtually a direct fit. Lighter with less drivetrain loss, I'm going s60 down the road. 9" is nice if you're constantly wanting to change gearing for the strip. I plan on a little strip and road course use so the s60 fits my needs for an M6 car. @Dan what are your goals with the car?
