335 to the wheels seems awful with a tune. I know guys with intake and long tubes on a bone stock ls1 putting 355 to the wheels through a stalled auto.

Personally I would turn and run, with 162k on it and putting down 335 seems kinda low and I'm sure it's got the shit kicked out of it.

Not it sure if your stuck on a Z06 but there is a local C5 with 80k miles for around the same price.

I think the price is good if the car was healthy. Power numbers do seem low...

Whatever u choose...think it out and fight being impulsive.

The HP is right where it should be for a stock car if a dynojet was used and damn good if a mustang was used. The 01 z06 was rated at 385 at the crank.

At least you KNOW the car was used at the track and flogged, most likely. Kinda high mileage. Checking on a few sites it seems 01 Z06's routinely get 330's to 340's stock. Each dyno is different of course. Power numbers sound about right if it's bone stock. Though I think the Gen IV engines are really rugged and last a long time I think that engine has been worked a lot. In that respect if it isn't burning oil or showing any other signs of a well used engine it might still be OK. One thing I know is there are plenty of other Corvettes out there and a lot with less mileage, owned by old people that just drive them to the casino on the weekends, not to the track.

^^^^ lots of good points stated from knowledgeable guys right there, and I agree with most of it. That being said, I'd grab it and never look back, ls motors are pretty bulletproof and miles don't scare me, plus idk about where you live ( location usually reflects market value somewhat) but where the hell are u gonna find a z06 for that $$$$ Just my .02. one thing I question tho; you were dead set in love with this car and buying it, yet you wanted opinions after the fact... Why? I'm not busting your balls I'm just curious....
