I ran 1.6s under stock style valve covers... no issues.

Ok well I think I need to consider new springs but I'm glad to know I don't need new covers as well. Thank you guys

I ran 1.6 Harland Sharps under stock covers but trimmed the baffle on the intake manifold side a tiny bit to be safe.

I am thinking of getting the same kit. Good info about the valve covers, springs, and the RRs. Almost bought the GM 1.6 RRs and studs for sale on this site but thought better of it when I saw the cost of the whole kit was "only" $595 from Summit/Jegs. Originally Posted by rdx

Greg'94 Teal Z28 that was my daughter's first car, then I acquired it after it overheated and blew a head gasket - replaced the engine and hope to take 'er to the track soon! I'm just an old guy who loves Camaros and tinkering with them.
