Usually its either A) completely out of car game (had kid, marriage etc) B) Blew up LT1 and ditched that POS artifact for some 5.3 turbo love C) Just sold it all and bought a florist.

What happened to troys sonoma lloyd?

I feel pretty certain that he will be back with LTX running sometime this season.
he had a buddies car in his shop building a urbo set up when his let go (a lil before shootout last year).
He wanted to finish the other car before tearing into his and the other c ar just kept running into problems. He was already under the impression that he would not have time to do anything for the shootout last year but then this other car started to be a much bigger project than originally planned. The "built" negine that they had was not what they thought. Had to order a LSX crate motor, swap cams and springs, measure for PRlength, make new parts, etc.
That car is together and out of the shop now and Troy has room to work on the Sonoma now.
Not sure when it will be completed but I am sure it will run with an LTx again.

Spoke with Troy earlier and the turbo T/A is now gone from his shop and he should tear into his in a few weeks to see what all is wounded.
Hopefully a piston or twoa nd a rod or two will put it back to running BUUT he will not know 100% til he tears into the bottom end.
I feel that it would have to be pretty severely destroyed (needs block, heads, crank, etc) for him not to go back LTX.
Even if he did have plans of going LSX, he would be better off putting a lil $$$ (as long as it is as minor as we think) in this engine and selling it as a running engine as opposed to selling parts to a non running engine.
