    Default tailpipe cutter...

anyone ever use a tailpipe cutter? index.jpg

i need to cut a section of my exhaust out of my daily driver to install a resonator/glasspack to tone it down a little.

dont think there is enough room to get a reciprocating saw up there... plus this will probably do a cleaner straighter cut...

hate to go out and buy one if they dont work worth a shit.

Check with autozone or advance. They MIGHT rent them. I could be wrong tho. That is what i plan on using on my Y when i throw a cat in there to get it thru inspection next summer.

yeah i have one of those but to use it i'd probably have to drop the exhaust... i used it when i cut a section out to put a cat in on the same car... its a gp gxp so the exhaust is a little tunnel.

We use those to cut steel gas line. Use a hose clamp as a guide to help keep your cut straight. Those cutters like to walk the first few spins until you get a groove started
