Default Nitrous outlet plate kit...what ignition box, or how do I controll nitrous?

I bought my kit 3 years ago and bought a Mallory 685 ignition box to control timing and use it as a window switch...well long story short my Mallory box is shot and smells burned when I hook it up, what is the a good way to control timing and window switch duties with a LT1?

Car is a 94 with original style opti and full bolt ons.

    thanks in advance.

A working 685 box would be perfect.

how reliable is the Mallory 685 if I buy a brand new one? Are they prone to fail? Is there a better way? I'm scared of the Mallory since I've read about a lot of failures and this one I used was also junk.

Had one in my Caprice years ago, never had a problem with it. Sold it to a guy who still uses it today.
Bought a used one for the RX7, works fine.
Installed another one in a friends Camaro a couple years ago, still works fine.

I've had good luck with the 685's so far.
