    Default LT1 vs 5.0

Just got back from mexico where I ran and beat a mustang 5.0. This is the early 90s model, it had 3.73 rear gears, driver mod, cobra intake manifold, throttle body, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, bigger injectors, bigger radiator and I'm sure a few things I'm forgetting. The roll was 30 and he jumped about half a car bc I was searching for traction. Caught traction and reeled him relatively easily. Then marched on and fully past him by ~105. My car is just "stock" with MSD optispark and wires, bbk shorties, SLP LM1, SLP CAI, 2500 stall and a few other odds and ends. Kinda felt like it was a good kill for mine being relatively stock with just bolt ons done.

Good kill but those two things are mutually exclusive!

Roll races are fun when you've got a ton of hp on tap.

It makes guys that can't hook off a dig feel better about things.

If a dig is convenient, I would give it a go. Roll racing many times just happens. Not every day someone on the road says let's go to a spot and go from a dig. Stopping for a dig race on 287 would be interesting

I had a bunch of ricers try to stop traffic one night, on my way to work, on I95. They wanted to go from a dig 4 wide. Let's just say it didn't work out too well for them.

I don't street race anymore, either. 25 years ago it was a different story.
