I took it out for a drive a bit ago after ramping up the low end timing, feels a ton better. I think it wants a little more though.
This system is the tits, I love it.
Also, I did a thing:

Antique plate is cool. Wife already got one for her '94. My '97 is 25 this year so it's my time to get a antique plate. Benefits here are, no more license plate renewal fees (sticker) and no more annual inspection fees(sticker).

I made it to OC and back, but car was getting pissy later in the event and the plugs fouled. I swapped the ones I could reach from the top with junky Autolites which was enough to get me home. Catch can keeps filling up quickly so I think I'm gonna move the inlet from the valvecover back to the stock location in the lifter valley.
I ordered more BR7ES plugs, but was wondering if a BR6ES would be better? Looking for better idle quality, but I am probably on the edge with 6 heat range, 11-12psi, 93 octane, etc.FB_IMG_1653304008750.jpg

I ran 6s for a while on my last turbo hotside, but switched to 7s on the current setup. From the timing marks on dyno, I prob could have stayed with 6s or just dump more WOT timing in it.

Getting around to working on this thing again. The ole stock T56 had been giving me problems (again), so I shipped a spare off to have built up. Just got it back today.

Count the splines... lol
In addition to the trans, I have some other things to address:
1. Tune tune tune - I need to get the EOIT right and dial in the fuel better. I also want to figure out how to get this damn knock sensor to register.
2. Heat extraction - This Harwood has no vents and is sealed at the cowl. I'm going to cut into the hood at the cowl area and make little grilles so heat can escape.
3. Heat wrap - I need to wrap up the heater core lines near the exhaust and rewrap the last header primary on the passenger side. The whole coil pack area gets super hot and I think I'm gonna burn something.
4. Tachometer rewiring - I think the Holley is feeding the dash a 12v pulsed signal whereas it might need a 5v one, need to drop voltage.
5. Speedometer - The chip I installed to turn the VSS signal from a sawtooth wave into a square never worked right so I need to do some probing, maybe replace it.
6. Cowl drainage - I have water pouring onto my aux fuse panel when it rains. I need to make a little visor.
7. Rear calipers hitting wheel weights on my drag wheels... ughLast edited by Catmaigne; 04-30-2023 at 05:24 PM.
