Default 6 Speed center console Mod

When my bro did the 6 speed swap before I got the car, he had someone mod the center console for the 6 speed. Well it was ok, but the boot was too small and would jam all up going into reverse, and the plastic piece was all broken.

So I took it into my sheet metal guys (I work at a Boeing Biz Jet Mod Center) and had him make up a nice alloy plate and then to my interior guys and had him cover it in black leather with a grey shift boot. I ordered a longer shift handle and a new C6 knob.

Works much better and looks better as well.

Here is the final product, new shift handle, cut down and re-threaded, and the SS logo, think I am done.

I'm gonna be the lone hater. I HATE the C6 shift knob. Other than that, looks great!

Hey no prob it's not for everyone, and the knob can be changed anytime, just thought it was something different.

Mike, don't get me wrong, it doesn't look bad at all. It's a very very well done mod. Just the shift knob isn't my taste. If it was me, I'd have put a factory hurst F-Body knob on it, or a C5 knob with a brushed stainless insert. But that's just me.
