Opti causing miss?
I have a miss at high rpms (starts around 5,000). I changed the plugs and wires today thinking it would fix it but no such luck. Is my opti going bad? It has had this miss for the almost 3 years that i've owned the car but I never really thought any thing about it. The car has 135k miles. Has anybody experienced this or have any suggestions?

High rpm miss can be caused by many things, opti being one of the more common culprits. Before spending any money though, do you have any means of diagnostics or data logging in order to narrow down the list?

The problem was that out of all of the local tuners and thousands of dollars...none of them were ltx competent.
Great people...but apparently...the ltx ia a dif animal.
Bryan Herter of pcm for less was the surrogate tuner through a semi local shop that he had previous hands on training with..and he made it RIGHT.
My build is a bit IN DEPTH and that complicates it as well...but as for details...idk

The guy that tuned my car is a local guy and seemed to know what he was talking about. But maybe I should check around and see if someone else has a little better info. Thanks! ill post back when I get some opinions

Change ya plugs first, put copper cores in. I had a high rpm miss for months and went threw 2 sets of iridiums and one set of platinums until i said eff this listened to either injuneer or ramair95ta and used autolite coppers, poof miss was gone. I had a miss with stock and tuned ecu's

The car seems to be running stronger after putting plugs and wires in it but still has that high rpm miss. I'm not hot rodding it all the time where it really or drag racing where is really matters. But I would like to figure it out because I want everything working perfectly, like most of us on here...
