I researched it extensively and found out a few things. Best to not have ac, try to find a rad cover with the cutout from a ls1 car. You will have to notch the core support to clear. May have to clearance hood especially with a stock hood. Other than that and extending your maf wires thats it. The hood issue is why i took it off, it just wouldnt fit right to my liking in mockup

Tbh, the best intake ive seen was a over the rad intake made out of two 3.5" 60 degree bends of aluminum, done by larry at speed inc and a few others.

I don't have a/c and I'm willing to cut my hood a little, I love Larry's intake(and car), I just picked this up for $105 shipped, obviously I'm not gonna use an LS1 maf but I thought it was a good deal $T2eC16J,!ykE9s7twBIqBSCmiDCnSQ~~60_57.jpg

My buddy with a 96 v6 just tried doing this. I sent him my stock lid and another guy sent him a lower air box. He has a hardwood cowl and even then it wouldn't clear. And he had lots of trouble. He gave up on the lid and is pursuing another way

I didn't have any trouble putting the lower box on the radiator support. It bolted right up and didn't change my radiator or A/C condenser much at all. I did have to cut on my hood a lot. Had to really get close to the striker support on the hood. You can see in the pic where I cut out on the hood.

I ground a little on the lower radiator support. And mine cleared my ram air hood with no issues.
