    Default 1996 corvette question

Anyone know if ALL manual 1996 corvettes came with the LT4.

A friend of mine sent me pics of a beautiful vette he was working on...and the owner boasts the "LT4" thing.

I told him I would post and see if anyone knows for sure, however some internet searching shows that they are.

I was under the impression the ONLY SURE LT4s on 96 were the GS and the COLLECTORS EDITION...outside of that I thought it was an option.

ALSO...anyone know the rpo code for LT4?

I've wondered that myself, cuz it seems there aren't many manual C4s around that I've seen. That's a gorgeous C4 there, love the C6Z06 rims on it.

Larry, I know ALL LT4 cars were M6, and ALL A4 cars were LT1, but I don't know that ALL M6 cars were LT4.

Just did some quick research and credible sources say ALL M6 were LT4 and ALL A4 were LT1.

I know I'm not a C4 guy but I've only seen Grand Sports and Collectors Edition's with M6's and they all had the LT4.

I did find this which I thought was cheap for a lt4:

Thats the thing...lots of 96s claim to be LT4s...i want a way to verify it...vin...rpo...etc.

Ive recently gotten info that counters what is being found stating that not all 96 manuals are LT4s...
