I do think the eng thoughts are ridiculous. Personally I thnk if its a 1k hp 4cyl its WRONG!!!!

A car like that needs deep...strong sound that only a V8 CAN MAKE.

The way I see it is if they offer a 1.4L 4 banger to offset the throaty v8, I'm 100% ok with that. There's been a lot of push back on Camaro5 about there being a 4 banger possibly going into the 6th gen - but if I'm going to be buying the v8 either way, who cares right?

ur right...I should clarify....as an option its fine...as long as the v8 is always an OPTION.

I just worry our "green" society will not keep the v8s in the future.

I don't think the v8s will go anywhere - we have a lot of guys in GM that love performance just as much as the customers. Reuss is a real car guy too. He's no Bob Lutz, but he's a good car guy. And Al Oppenheiser is just flat out awesome. Tony Roma is another great performance guy too. We just need to offset the high performance with good gas mileage.
