That pic is simply a redesigned 2014 Camaro on the Zeta platform. It's really no indication as to what the 6th gen will look like... it's just a "wilder" flavor of the 2014 redesign with a wider body.
They're apparently doing another repeat of "old school" Bumblebee and "new school" Bumblebee.

Well no matter what, I like the direction gm is going. Prices seem to be staying the same (iirc an 02 trans am was ~32k new) and power is rising. That's a win-win

I wouldnt be surprised to see the gen V small block come into the 5th gen Camaro. With the recent face/rear lift, I dont think you will see a redesign for atleast 4-5 years (2018-2019). This is coming with automotive engineering background at two very large auto companies. With advancements in technology, different platforms can be outfitted much more efficiently than they were just in the 90's. With Corvette sales staying consistent throughout the years, and the Camaros selling like hotcakes... You better believe GM wont let the Camaro hang in the rearview of a mustang for too much longer. Just my .02, take it or leave it.

Sorry -- there's no question of when GM is moving the Camaro to the 6th generation (Alpha) platform. GM has already announced that the Camaro production is moving to Lansing. As a direct response to the announcement about the Camaro moving to Lansing, the CAW (Canadian Auto Workers) stated they're going to need a replacement vehicle at Oshawa by late 2015-2016 to replace the Camaro. So that means that we'll see the Camaro being produced in Lansing in late 2015, early 2016. The Lansing plant in question is producing vehicles on the Alpha platform. Hence, they are not going to move the 5th Generation Camaro (Zeta vehicle) to Lansing (an Alpha platform plant). That can ONLY mean that the 6th generation Camaro is going to start production in late 2015, making it a 2016 model year.

Do keep in mind that this is all hear-say and estimates until GM officially comes out themselves and reveals the car. Everyone speculated that the C7 corvette was going to look like the one featured in the second Transformers. Also, the first Transformers featured a Camaro that wasnt even built by GM. Steve Saleen built that car, and Im sure the same goes for this new one that everyone is saying is the 6th Gen. True designs this far in advance are heavily gaurded secrets (I know, I worked on a concept design for a year and a half before we told the New York Press what the vehicle would look like). Im not saying you're wrong, I am just saying dont believe it fully unless its coming straight from the source.
