Default GMHTP Article Dicussion: C6 Z06 w/bolt ons runs 9's in the 1/4

So my parents got me a year to GMHTP. This month has a C6 Z06 running 9's with bolt ons. But I got to thinking, what about the manifold swap? Is that considered a bolt on in LSX land? Just curious since our bolt on class obviously wouldn't allow a LT1 single plane, Stealth Ram, or anything else to that effect.

Don't get me wrong, it's damn impressive, but was curious about what's considered bolt ons in different circles.

I wonder if Mr. Herron or Slowformula ran a different manifold, if even better times were possible?

As long as you don't touch the shortblock except to add arp bolts and ported oil pump, its bolt on. LOL

Well i know that the ls7 manifold is pretty good out of the box. BUTTTTTTT......when every body says bolt on. I think that term is way out of hand. Some consider a stroker motor a bolt on. It drives me crazy when I talk to younger guys about their cars and the think a cam and heads is a bolt on.
