I was really skeptical when I saw the drawings because the body lines looked kinda weird on paper, but I'm definitely drooling over the final product as I see it on stage. And the interior, oh my god, a car nut and techie's dream merge between race car and gadgetry. The auto-rev match feature when changing gears is definitely a pretty damn cool addition. If I had one, I'd be able to let my wife drive it without getting jerked around in the passenger seat haha. And from the looks of it, the driver's seat looks like it's going to have a very cockpit-esque feel to it which I drool over. I think I'm babbling at this point so I should stop myself... I can't wait to see one in person!
And imagine what the special models will look like... Zo6...Zr1.... maybe bigger flared quarters, more aggressiveness all over the place...!!

Seriously I cannot wait to see the upgraded models! Especially the Z06, that's definitely what I would spring for! And I'm all for more aggressive styling. After all, it is the Corvette and is Chevy's "top of the line" model, so it should definitely look the part IMO. I'm liking the new rims on the model they showed too, like a 10-spoke version of the 5th gen Camaro SS rims. I would really like to see something added to the hood of the Z06 model though, simply because as it is, from the front, it looks like the nose is really short (although I'm positive it's just a visual trick due to the incredibly glossy red on that car), but I think a small cowl or something to add just a couple extra body lines on the nose to fix that would be sweet. From the side, however, it looks amazing. Am I the only one who thinks the nose looks stubby when you're looking at it head-on?

Yeah, for sure. They certainly seem to be taking all of the best of their newest styling cues and bringing them into one magnificent beast. I can see the cowl lines on it in the pics that don't show the glare of the spotlights, so maybe I just need to see it in a darker color to really concrete my opinion of the nose. I'd love to see one in like a cyber metallic grey or something that really lets you see every little body line in almost any lighting.

I was hoping to see a decent progression over the c6.
This just seems too far ahead as well as me too . I dunno I'll just shutup:p
OEM Parts bin? The C7 Corvette has two parts which carry over from the C6 Corvette -- the air filter and a latch mechanism (I can't remember if it was targa top, trunk, or hood)... This is far from OEM parts bin car.

Agreed - they have similar styling cues as they always have, but between the two I'd easily take a Corvette over the Viper.

I hate to say it, but I think they pushed the edgy styling too far with the Vette. It's just disproportionate to me. Too many sharp edges, not enough smooth curves as the Vette has usually had through out the years.

Now if they'd done something like these:

I'd have given it a standing ovation. But what they came out with..........I can't say that I like it. It's got it's good points, but there's a lot that I don't like as of yet.

That's a cool looking prototype.. More like a C3.. I do like the new C7 though, check it out on the Chevrolet website, I think it looks a lot better in some pictures than in others.. the ones they have in their website lets you appreciate it in detail..

In my case I like vettes in general but my thing are Pontiacs, I'll just live disappointed forever because I never saw the new GTO I wished they would have made nor a new Firebird.. Hang on in there, you'll get a lot more generations of the vette to hope for new stuff you may like
