something that should be brought up is that the odb1 auto transmission is slightly different. I talked with someone at preformabuilt transmissions and i believe they said the 3-4 solenoid needs to be changed out to allow the computer to communicate with the transmission properly. I save the email and can post it if you guys want.

What is a ballpark cost of doing this conversion with the harnessing from BP and whatever other parts need to be sourced?

Iv got about right under a grand for mine but thats because I am already a 96, reworked my stock harness, and bought used coils

2000 sounds pretty steep for this conversion even though the more i read about it the more i want to do it. This may be something i need to put off until my car is fully rebuilt

I'm a 96 but I need the EFI billet timing chain cover ($345). And figure in the little stuff like ls1 spark plug boots, tools needed to convert my wires. But the tuning capabilities are well worth it. And no more opti!!!
