Hello - Cool Forum!
I just discovered this forum and I look forward to participating!
I started out with a brand new 1996 Impala SS when I got my first job out of college.
After 180,000 miles and no modifications, I removed the LT1 and installed a Buick Grand National engine.
I ran 11.9 @ 110 with that and eventually sold it.
Now I have a light weight Altered with the original LT1 from my Impala.
I raced it last year in 1/8 mile non-electronics bracket racing using just the primaries of a 650 cfm Holley 4 barrel (ran ~ 6.6 @ 102).
I just got my 7.50 chassis cert and I'm planning on getting my NHRA license this weekend.
I'm hoping to get into the low-mid 8's in the 1/4 this year.

Welcome to LTxTech. That looks like a car I would like to see at the Shootout. Any plans to make it?

Don't know anything about the shootout but I'll look into it.

Very cool to see a altered with a Ltx. I can't imagine how fast it would run with boosted combo.

Wow the LTX Shootout is in Bowling Green.
That's my favorite track.
And there's a Lucas Oil event the weekend before the shootout where I could possibly run in Super Comp.
I might just have to go to both events.1987 Spitzer Altered, LT1, Powerglide, 1400 lbs, 9.89 @ 136.
