Not to far away from you. Up in San Luis Obispo County, Paso Robles to be exact. I travel down to Santa Paula/Fillmore late in the summer to see family.

Welcome to the board! I just moved up to the San Luis Obispo area not too long ago from LA. There are definitely more enthusiasts down your way. I miss seeing all the f-bodies out and about.

There are only a handful of off the shelf cams around that are known to pass without much work. Marc runs a Lloyd Elliot if you want to consider a custom grind. Not sure how well it does in regard to smog, but I'm sure he can give you some feedback. The larger ones will definitely be a challenge. I was looking at a Crane 227 myself. Read quite a bit of positive feedback from nearly all owners of the 227. A Hot Cam is another comparable one, but I think the Crane seems to respond better from what I've seen. California definitely doesn't make things easy for us.

Wish I would have checked out the area more when I lived in So Cal. I lived in Norwalk my whole life and actually bought my last '94 from a guy in La Puente. Sorry to hear you are selling.
