    Default what do i need to start tuning

    so i got a lap top and now i need to buy some kind of cable and get a program to start tuning my car.

    first thing i want to do is get rid of my speed limiter / fuel cutoff @115mph

    then later i am going to have a gear swap done going from 2.73 to 3.73 and need the shift points to be changed

    you will also need winflash to upload the new tune and read or adjust the old tune into the car.

    okay some things have changed .... i want to now get a program that will allow me to see the many different readings that the ecm/pcm is reading
    things like rpm, temps, pressuers, a/f ratio, ect,ect

    i am going to have a tuner tune the car but i want to see what the car is doing .... i dont really trust the stock gauges any more

    Pay-to-play with OBDII. I do not know of any free tuning software for OBDII. You can do an OBDI conversion, which isn't too hard. Do a search on it, I believe you'll find out info on here.

    Now: m6, 24x conversion, full bolt ons, fullish suspension
    In the works: forged 355, le2, th400, 9", direct port 200 shot. Ton of weight reduction!

    If anyone wants to tune OBD2 LT1 or LS1 I have a Jet DST I am probably going to sell. I am low on cash and need the extra help. With the DST all you would need is a laptop.
    If you do any research on the DST its pretty much the only good tuner to use for OBD2
