Default why so much hate on the C4 Vette's????

why does it seem like everyone hates the C4 Vette's. i mean it's not like they were dogs or anything, an LT1 Vette was faster than a 911 or Ferrari (until the 355 at least) of the same year. plus they still look good.

I dunno, seems like if you see a crappy Vette it's a C4 and they also seem like the most affordable... but I love them especially on into the 90s. Don't often see ones that are really taken care of though, so that might contribute to the hate. My brother's '91 has insane handling and suspension -- it could lap my car on a curvy road

Every one that I see is beat pretty much, usually not modded at all and just crap.

Thats where the hate around here comes from. Ive seen a few nice ones though, just few and far between (around here anyways). The reason they are all beat could also be that fact that every road in MA sucks.

I cant stand the way you have to step down into it. I feel like im getting into a coffin. Nothing performance wise sucks aslong as its an LT car...no no TPI.

They can be, and when you do something to em' they arent too bad.

Its just nobody ever does, all I see is kids beating the crap out of em and putting stickers on em'

....Or the occasional old guy thats had it since new

We DO have a few VERY nice C4s here though.

Its just the sign of the times!
The same exact thing happened to the 3rd gen when the Lt1 4th gen came out, the appreciation dies...Some love them and others just moved on.....
As far as the C4 goes i like the 91 TPI vette the front and rear covers look way more modern,PITA to get in and out of though... the C5 took alot of getting used to due to the rear cover great power increase, much easier to get in and out...C6 well hats off to the caddy engineer that made that car a bad mofo!!!! especially the Zo6 and Zr1

The video shown is cool however, the GTO is a 5.7L 6spd and those are not fast by any means(stock) so showing a much lighter 5.7 vette Lt1 does not help the rep at all but hey its a sign of the times....
I love L98s,Lt1s and Ls series none have let me down against the competition!

the LS1 GTO stock is still trapping 105-106mph. in theory, (using the old LS1 has better top end idea) the GTO should have just kept on walking away from the Vette as the speeds went up, but the Vette stayed with it.

I'll take a LT1/LT4 C4 any day of the week. Hell, give me a TPI C4 from 1991 in that steel blue metallic and I'd take it too.
