It's got a base tune, hasn't been dialed in yet. It wasn't doing this before all of this nonsense, I'm thinking it's either a valve or more likely a vacuum leak. Just wanted some other opinions.

Looks like it was an exhaust leak after all, found a loose bolt on the back of the driver's side. Tightened it up and took it for a spin, noise is gone. I feel pretty stupid....

Bought car with CC306, ported factory heads, GMPP 1.6 RR, unknown PR's (slightly shorter than stock), unknown upgraded springs, unkown...

Got everything together and still have what sounds like a bad lifter on the front driver's side. They're generally quiet at idle with the cover off, certainly no louder than the GMPP's were before...

Went with the ultra pro mags, 1618-16.

I see a lot of different Comp rockers (1605, 1608), which is the part you're suggesting?

And does anybody have experience with the Jegs? These look like pretty decent quality for the price.

Yep, double checked every one.

GMPP 1.6 rockers, CC hardened stock length pushrods. Rockers are good, no side to side movement. Is 1/4 turn enough preload for an LS7 lifter? Everything I read said 1/2 -3/4, I turned them to 1/2...
