LTXTech and the LTXShootout have been a staple of the LTX community for the past 4 years now. Since the inception of LTXTech, the community has been scattered and spread thin through many different local and wide-range forums. Now that the LTX enthusiast has a warm home, the Administration of both LTXTech and the LTX Shootout have decided that it would be in the best interest of the community to have the forum and discussion aspect of the celebrated event hosted here, at LTXTech. Going forward, the LTX Shootout homepage will still serve up news and announcements, while the forums link will redirect everyone here. We will be unveiling some new areas under the LTX Shootout section that will be more similar to the current setup at the LTX Shootout's site. There will be changes to the LTXTech forum to highlight the Shootout as well as other areas of the forum having additional links and advertising for the Shootout.

The LTX Shootout is going into its fourth year. As always, the guys over there request donations to sponsor the event. Every year a major donation is needed to secure the title sponsor. Every year, our community, your community, the LTX Community, steps up and makes this goal a reality. Yet again you guys have proven that there is no better community on the internet. Officially, LTXTECH is the 2011 LTX Shootout Title Sponsor!!!

With these major announcements shaping the future of the LTX community, we feel confident in saying that this will be one of the biggest and brightest years in the LTX world. We encourage everyone to look forward to the new sections opening up shortly and welcome all of the new members from the LTX Shootout forums.

GM High Tech Performance recently published an article about the 2010 LTX Shootout. I've posted the article below and included the link to GMHTP's website so you guys can view some of the pictures they took at the event.
It's hard to believe it has been over a year since the last LTX Shootout, but we are happy to report that the third annual LTX Shootout, which took place on September 4th, 2010 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, was a great success! If you have never been to an LTX Shootout in the past, I need to get you up to speed on some of the behind the scenes particulars. First and foremost, it is important to understand that some large organization or a massive sponsor doesn't put on the LTX Shootout. On the contrary, its own community, a group of obsessed enthusiasts whose common goal is to give the LTX community a place to race and a place to gather, foots the bill for this event. Secondly, you have to understand that racers at the LTX Shootout are also the event directors, often returning from a run only to trade their helmets for a radio, helping coordinate the event and keep the classes moving along.

As you can imagine, running a small event like this doesn't come without its fair share of heartache and trepidation. In the months and weeks leading up to the Shootout there seemed to be many more questions than answers. People wondered aloud if the Beech Bend facility would be able to handle the LTX crowd and, more importantly, if enough people would show up in Bowling Green for the event to even take shape. In regards to event participation, the LTX directors and message boards were both afraid of a low car count and limited attendance for certain cars, as many racers seemed to break or run out of luck just days before the event.
